Accreditation

Accredited five ways over

For more than five decades, Killian Oaks Academy has been committed to an exceptional education grounded in high standards, meaningful relationships, and a deep understanding of each student. Accreditation is how we invite independent organizations and peer evaluators to check that commitment.

Unlike basic authorization to operate, accreditation is a voluntary process. Through self-study, documentation, peer review, and evaluation, accrediting organizations examine whether a school is fulfilling its mission and meeting established standards of quality. Because our leaders also serve as accreditors of other schools, the standards aren't abstract to us. We know what a strong school looks like from the inside and from the visiting team's side of the table.

What accreditation means for a family

Independent validation

Killian Oaks has asked respected organizations to look closely at how we teach, lead, support students, and continually improve.

A culture of improvement

Accreditation isn't a one-time achievement. Accredited schools keep examining their effectiveness, respond to recommendations, and demonstrate progress over time, just as we ask our students to learn, reflect, adapt, and grow.

Continuity

Receiving schools, colleges, and universities gain confidence that a student's academic experience took place within an independently reviewed environment. For families using a Florida scholarship, the Florida Department of Education lists Killian Oaks as a participating private school.

Accountability

Are students learning and growing? Are practices aligned with the philosophy? Is leadership focused on student success? Accreditation asks schools for evidence, and at Killian Oaks we welcome those questions.
